This Study is believed to be first quantitative analysis of the World trade in Mechanical Power Transmissions (MPT) components. The Report analyses official trade data, summarising all import and export transactions made by 28 leading countries with the rest of the World for 1997 and 1998. The data relate to seven Mechanical Power Transmissions product headings and cover about 90% of the World's trade in MPT components.

The huge volume of data analysed to produce the BGA's 'World Trade in Mechanical Power Transmissions' report (see above) meant that only summary data (e.g. top 20 Importers, exporters) could be provided in the appendices to the hard-copy report.
This CD provides the data anlysis in full and will allow the reader to undertake his own research and analysis. The data are provided in both Lotus 123 and MS Excel spreadsheet formats.
