About the Spring Meeting 2017

Whether you are part of a multi-national organisation or a single member, the "BGA Spring Event 2017" will be of interest to you and may provide the possibility of competitive advantage.

Attendance at this Technical Networking event will allow you to market to and network with the entire BGA Membership and their Customers/Suppliers. With the leading UK Gear companies, manufacturers, distributors and academics in attendance, this will be your chance to share opportunities, discuss challenges and promote your interests to like-minded people.

Located in the spectacular Imperial War Museum. Duxford the event will comprise of a number of exhibition stands and company presentations.

Attending the Spring Meeting

The BGA Spring Meeting is being hosted by the British Gear Association and attendance is completely free of charge to all delegates when you pre-register with BGA.

By attending the meeting you will receive complementary tea/coffee throughout the day and FREE entry in to the Imperial War Museum Exhibits (usual price £

18 per person.)

Exhibiting at Spring Meeting 2017

The BGA is providing table top exhibition space for anyone who wants to promote their business, products and innovations at Spring Meeting 2017.

Any company purchasing stand space will automatically qualify to deliver a 15 minute presentation to delegates during the day. Networking and technical discussions with the attendees will be facilitated at the company stands.

The stands and presentations will be grouped into one of the following five categories:-

***** Machine Tools & Manufacturing Equipment

***** Software

***** Measurement

***** Manufacture processes

***** Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment and Coatings


Stand space costs £50 for a BGA Member or £200 for a Non Member.

The Spring Meeting offers you the chance to invite your own customers and clients to touch base with you face to face in one of the most astounding venues in the UK. To entice your customers along attendance is free and includes entry into the Imperial War Museum Exhibits on the day.

About the Venue - Imperial War Museum



Imperial War Museum Duxford has an incredible story to tell. Built in 1917 and used as a training station for the Royal Air Force, this fighter base played a major role in the Battle of Britain during the Second World War and, as home to the American 78th Fighter Group, provided air cover to the Allied invasion forces on D-Day.

Today the legacy of the sites amazing history is assured by IWM (Imperial War Museums) and we look after it for all to enjoy. Explore this historic site for yourselves, see aircraft flying from our working airfield and get up close to unique collections of aircraft, including a Spitfire and a Lancaster as well as tanks and military vehicles. Discover the stories and tread in the footsteps of the men and women who lived and worked at RAF Duxford.

How to get to IWM Duxford

By Car

IWM Duxford is south of Cambridge at Junction 10 of the M11 motorway, less than 50 miles from Central London and approximately 40 minutes from the M25 (Junction 27).

IWM Duxford is easily accessible from the A1, A14, M1 and the North, via the M11.

There is free parking.

Nearest train stations

Whittlesford, Royston, Cambridge

There are taxi ranks at both Royston and Cambridge stations. Whittlesford station is the closest to the museum but does not have a taxi rank.
