Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC) was created in 2005 by Tata Motors, India largest automobile company, to establish a Centre of Excellence and to drive the quality of future Tata Motors products by adding European expertise to the products and engineering processes. The objective of TMETC is not only to provide state of the art engineering competence for Tata Motors but also to offer a new quality and cost effective service to the Global Automotive Industry. TMETC, headed by Dr. Clive Hickman, provides high value added engineering services specialising in the following areas: Advanced Engineering and New Drivetrain Concepts. Engine and Transmissions Design and Development. Body Design and Styling, Body and Trim Engineering. TMETC offers a unique business model comprising local and off shore teams, achieving high cost competitiveness and retaining the expertise and quality of service.
