Applying the latest ISO 6336 stress analysis standard will give the gear designer the opportunity to implement best design practice but it will not necessarily result in an optimised gear specification. This requires the speciification of appropirate macro gear geometry and micro-geometry corrections to compenstate for random manufacturing errors and elastic deflection of the gears, shafts and gearbox under load. This seminar will discuss strategies for maximisting gear performance and thus minimise manufacturing costs.
TheWorkshop will cover:
Reducing scuffing risk and minimise mesh friction through good design practice (results from the X-Gear project)
