Seminar Programme

Using gear measuring instruments in a simple pass/fail process fails to maximise the investment made in measuring equipment and the potential to improve the manufacturing process performance. Strategies for interpreting measurement results and identifying the cause of the measured errors will be presented. Simple calibration procedures will be demonstrated to quantify measurement capability and identify some common causes of measurement errors. This minimises the risk associated with accepting gears which are outside tolerance or rejecting gears which are are acceptable. The seminar is appropriate for anyone involved with measuring processes in inspection, manufacturing or design/concession work.

The Seminar covers:

Key skills and knowledge:

At the end of the seminar you will be able to identify causes of manufacturing errors, understand sources of measurement errors, apply simple procedures to improve measurement accuracy and quantify measurement accuracy (measurement uncertainty) using ISO methods.

Please note: If you wish to attend both Gear Measurement 1 and Gear Measurement 2, you will receive a discounted price, please refer to price information below.
