Teaching Pack on Gear Technology

 

Order the Teaching Pack

The Teaching Pack was sponsored by the BGA with the aim of increasing understanding of gearing and compensating for the lack of up-to-date text-books on gearing design. Available on CD only.

The six modules comprise:

  1. Drive Systems Gear System Design Gear Geometry Design and Stress Analysis of Spur and Helical Gears Gearbox Design
  2. Manufacture and Metrology of Spur and Helical Gears
Also includes:
  • 200 diagrams suitable for reproduction as overhead projection slides. Photos in powerpoint
  • 2 programmes with teaching notes in module 3
The Teaching pack is available to Order Here The Guide was written by three UK gearing design experts, with experience both of industrial consultancy and teaching who have each compiled two of the modules that make up the Pack:

    Dr. Hellmuth Kohler of Sheffield University
