The AFRC is part of the UK High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult. It was established based on support from UK and Scottish governments in recognition of the importance of manufacturing to the UK economy.

It assembles key elements of manufacturing R&D into a framework which supports the delivery of strategy. The foundation of AFRC capability is our ability to provide manufacturing R&D services in a robust and standardised manner. We believe we have invested in the right equipment to do the right job for industry.

We are developing competencies to allow a flow of productive work through the facility. These allow delivery of quality, cost effective outcomes.
