RENOLD GEARS

Part of Renold plc, a global engineering group, Renold Gears designs and manufactures a complete range of standard and custom gearing solutions including: worm gears, bevel and helical drives.


The company was formed in 1964 when Renold acquired John Holroyd, a company originally established in 1887. Gear manufacture began in 1896 when the company moved to its 18,000 m2 site in Milnrow, near Rochdale, the site that Renold Gears still occupies today.


With manufacturing and selling operations in 23 countries, today we are recognised as a leading gear solution supplier of innovative, sustainable products and services for applications all around the world.


We also have a dedicated Service Team who offer fast gearbox refurbishment of all makes and types of industrial gearboxes.

The British Gear Association (BGA) is a trade association that promotes the technical and commercial interests of manufacturers, distributors, academics and others involved in the Power Transmissions industry in the United Kingdom.

 

The Association speaks with authority on behalf of the industry both nationally and internationally and its ability to help companies and individuals involved in the industry is widely recognised by government, the media and industry. The Association is well-represented on British and International Standard committees and provides the Chair of the British Standards Institution's MCE/5 Committee on Gearing.
