VICTREX

BGA Member Victrex.

Victrex is a global leader in PEEK and PAEK-based polymer solutions, helping manufacturers overcome complex design and engineering challenges.

With over 40 years of experience developing innovative solutions with PEEK, we collaborate throughout the industry value chain to address megatrends impacting our everyday life - accelerating business success for all. Every day, millions of people use products and applications, which contain our materials – from smartphones, aeroplanes and cars to oil and gas operations and medical devices.

In 2015 Victrex acquired Kleiss Gears, based in Grantsburg WI (USA), to develop high-performance PAEK polymer gears for strategic target applications in Automotive powertrain and other selected industries. This part of the business is supported by a global team, including R&D resources centred on our headquarters near Blackpool, UK.

Following the acquisition of Kleiss Gears Victrex have been able to offer a fully integrated and highly innovative approach to PEEK gear design. We look at the whole system, not just the gear, so we not only have a high-performance material and technology, but also the expertise and capability to turn challenges into advantages. This includes feasibility analysis, gear design, prototyping, testing, inspection, and of course manufacturing of the gears.

We partner with OEMs and Tier 1s to fully understand their needs and closely collaborate to realise the desired benefit for the customer, e.g. improve NVH performance, reduce weight, inertia, system complexity and cost and accelerate time-to-market.
