The British Gear Assocaiton are dedicated to bringing the best gear training to the UK Gear industry and we were delighted to collaborate with BGA Members Helios Gears to bring their Fundamentals of Parallel axis Gears training all the way from USA for the very first time.
The recent course in Sheffield, held on September 17th and 18th, attracted 20 enthusiastic delegates eager to deepen their knowledge and skills.
Headed by Adam Gimpert and David Harroun from Helios Gear Products, the course provided attendees with valuable insights into Parallel Axis Gears. With 30 years of combined experience, their expertise was on full show.

Attendees spent a full day in the classroom before touring OnDrives, where they observed real-world applications of the theories learned. Reinforcing the concepts taught in class.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many valued the interactive format and the opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders, stating that it made complex concepts more relatable.
"Extremely well presented with right level of content. Tour was very useful."
"I really enjoyed the course content and the Helios personnel who are very knowledgeable and helpful."
"Great overview as a design engineer I feel I've learned a lot that I can use when talking with manufacturing colleagues."
To extend the learning beyond classroom sessions, each delegate received a detailed note package. This comprehensive resource allows attendees to revisit key concepts as they continue to develop their skills.
In-person training provides a unique opportunity for hands-on learning and active discussions, which deepen understanding of complex topics. Engaging with instructors and fellow participants creates a vibrant learning environment where questions can be addressed immediately, boosting the overall educational experience.
Furthermore, in-person sessions enable participants to build valuable networks with other industry professionals, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing that goes beyond the classroom.
