It's all in the attention to detail: Surface Integrity Part 2 In Person Course Success

ree

Last week BGA and Engrena ITA held our first Surface Integrity Part 2 Course at the Design Unit, Newcastle. Thank you to Ronnie Rego for travelling all the way from Brazil to share his expertise with a range of delegates from across our membership.

Thank you too to our delegates who made the journey up north. Kirsty and I love to see the faces behind the names we register for all our online and in person courses.

Part 2 of course in person followed the Online Part 1 series held in July this year. During Part 2 Ronnie took us through the following topics:

  • Brief review of Surface Integrity, Topography and Residual Stresses;

  • Surface Integrity induced by Machining;

  • Surface Integrity induced by Heat Treatment;

  • Surface Integrity induced by Shot Peening;

  • Surface Integrity induced by Grinding.

Lunch and refreshments were provided and members were able to network during the downtime and also had a tour of the Design Unit facilities here in Newcastle University.

If you have any questions about this event or would like to suggest any other courses you'd like to see added to the suite of training for our Knowledge Transfer Programme Offer or if you’re not already a BGA member – please don’t hesitate to get in touch admin@bga.org.uk
