JOINT BGA / IMECHE STUDENT PRIZE WINNER 2024.

The BGA IMechE joint Student Prize 2024 winner is Vishvessh Murugan currently a MSc Student at Newcastle University for his MEng project:

“Torsional Vibration Analysis of Gearbox of Armed Vehicle”

The judging panel commented:

A well-presented report which addresses an important characteristic of gear performance.

Clear objectives are defined and methodology is appropriate.

The conclusions are reasonable and justified by the analysis results.

Vishvessh has been invited to present his paper the the leading gear experts in the UK at GEARS 2025 in November 2025.
