In collaboration with Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) the British Gear Association (BGA) are holding Technical Networking and Awareness Day on Laser Technology for Gearing at MTC technical centre in Coventry on 24th May 2023.
The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC), which is supported by Innovate UK.
The HVMC is the catalyst for the future growth and success of advanced manufacturing in the UK. It consists of seven technology and innovation centres across the UK and its vision is to work with companies of all sizes to bridge the gap from concept to commercialisation.
About the Event
The Technical Awareness Day will include presentations on the topics below as well as machine demonstrations and tour of the MTC state of the art facility.
· Laser Peening for improved performance
· Development in laser surface texturing for improved tribological performance
· Latest developments in metrology and measurement
· Latest developments in laser-AM
· Impact of Electrification and Net Zero on latest laser technology development
There will be plenty of opportunity to network with the leading Gear companies, manufacturers, distributors and academics. This will be your chance to share opportunities, discuss challenges and promote your interests to likeminded people. Lunch will be provided.
