This two-day course is part of Helios Gear School. Its aim is simple: to help companies build a shop full of gear experts.
The course is designed for entry-level gear manufacturing personnel, as well as people who need a refresher.
The programme covers the basics of gear manufacturing from cutting to finishing, then through to final inspection. That gives attendees a joined-up view of how gears are made and checked.
For people at the start of their gear manufacturing career, this foundation can reduce confusion on the shop floor. It can also help teams use the same language when discussing processes, tolerances, tooling, inspection results, and quality issues.
