System Level Transmission Analysis Workshop at Hexagon

The BGA would like to let you know about a hands-on System Level Transmission Analysis Workshop using the Romax Software Suite that is being run on 23rd July at Ergo House in Nottingham by BGA member Romax Technology (Hexagon) — it’s a great opportunity to explore how simulation can help solve real-world challenges in rotating machinery.

This is a full-day, in-person session where you'll build up a system-level transmission model from scratch, guided by our Engineering Team. Whether you're already familiar with CAE tools or have no experience in system level transmission analysis, you'll come away with practical skills you can apply straight away.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what to expect:

  • Build and analyse complete transmission systems

  • Model gears, shafts, bearings — including custom setups

  • Run durability, NVH, efficiency, and DOE studies

  • Work with Finite Element components and simulate variable loads

The event will be led by Ed Upcott, a Hexagon senior engineering analysts with years of experience across automotive, wind, and industrial applications.
