SPLINES LITERATURE REVIEW

The Splines SIG chaired by Tim Lisle of the Design Unit has recently received funding from the BGA to conduct a comprehensive literature review on Splines which is now available to the whole BGA Membership.

From Tim Lisle:

"The Splines Specialist Interest Group (SIG) is a voluntary collection of BGA members, all of whom have a common interest in all aspects of spline technology, ranging from manufacturing, metrology and stress analysis.

Recently the group has delivered a comprehensive literature review survey report based on spline technology and research available in the public domain. This helped gain an understanding of the current trends in spline technology, the areas of research which were strong, and those which are lacking. The aim of the literature review survey was to shape potential future areas of spline research and projects conducted through the BGA’s Spline SIG."
