This is a live 1 hour session with plenty of time for questions and discussion.
At this Member Focus Session Dr Maryam Bonyadi will be introducing Lloyd’s Register (LR) and an overview of the services they provide. This session will specifically include information on LR’s Technical and Failure Investigation Department, its team, locations, and some of their capabilities with two failure investigation case studies discussed.

The Technical and Failure Investigation Department sits within the Professional Services division which is the advisory arm of Lloyd’s Register. Our Technical and Failure Investigation Department provides engineering advisory services such as failure investigations and condition assessments as well as engineering analytical investigations. Some examples of failure investigation services that we provide are associated with ship machinery failures such as failure of propulsion shafts, bearings, gears, rudders, propellers, engines and many more. We also carry out propulsion shaft alignment analysis, fatigue analysis, noise and vibration modelling, prediction, measurement and assessment.
